*   *    LAURIE! *     *
I'm Laurie. I have hair that makes Richard Simmon's hair looks good. I like giraffes and monkeys. I especially like monkeys. When I was born, my dad said I was either a boy or the ugliest girl alive. It's things like that that makes my self-esteem so high these days. I like a mixture of music from Tool to Weezer to Billie Holiday to Flock of Seagulls. I have an extreme love for the 80s that will never cease. I think I've seen The Breakfast Club about thirty eight times, even though I only like parts of it. Emilio Estevez is my boyfriend. I have a lawn gnome named Clyde. He's dear to my heart. Bruce Willis sings stalker songs to me at night. I watch TV a lot. I love movies to death. I hate the feeling, sound, word, thought of fleece. My nanny gave me a fleece sweater awhile ago. I like the smell of gasoline, freshly cut grass and chlorine. I like when my skin smells after I get out of the pool. I tend to bite my nails too much so my nails are gross and short and creepy. I can't stand having bumps in my hair. I have to have music. I cry during scenes like the ending of Revenge of the Nerds. Unpixelated Sims is funny, and kind of creepy. Laughing at drunk people makes for good times. Claire is my sex monkey. You just wish you were, too. I'm not on crack, although you'd think I was.

Listening to:The Ataris - "Your Boyfriend Sucks"

I should be getting ready to go to Aimée's....hmm...I had a weird dream last night. I was in this girl's basement/outdoors thing and we were watching this movie with a bunch of girls I know. Anyway, her father was this...drunk, I guess. It was so blurry, and me and this girl had to hide from him because we were watching the movie. Ah, I won't even bother. The dream disturbed me because I remember us being in all these black gothic lacy Victorian corsets and skirts and stuff, and the movie was about skinning people or something. It was way too bizarre to try to remember anyway.

Stupid sun woke me up today. Alright, I have a big bouffy blanket over my window right? Since it's pink with butterflies :P I got a dark blue blanket and draped it across the pink one. So it's dark all the time, and I can always fall back asleep. Anyway, the sun was REALLY bright this morning and was shining right through the blankets. Bah. So I got up and watched "Blue's Clues" until I could drag myself into the shower.

Aimée and I are going Christmas shopping today. Whee. My dad's driving me in at noon. I have forty minutes to get ready. And then I have to be picked up tomorrow, and driven into Ashley's. Then driven home at night. :D I love busy weekends.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:D Last night was so fun. I'll do a recap for yas. It was "Cardboard City" where the Habitat for Humanity members camped out in the school's courtyard overnight. Luckily, there was no snow or rain, and it was actually warm out.

Jen and I set up our boxes and made it into this veranda-tarp-box sexy house thing. We went back to her house and chilled until 6:30 and went back to the school. Set up more, and got ready. Tanya was already there (we were all in our jammies) so we helped her pull together a nice little house and then we ran over to Beckers. Bought five bags of chips, three bottles of pop and a Powerade. Man, did it ever look like we had the munchies ;P *THEN* we got Tim Hortons - big box of donuts and hot chocolate. Yummy.

Dayna arrived so we set her up too, and by this time it was 8-8:30 ish and Mr Brisbois (HfH leader teacher) came out and told us we could watch movies in the cafeteria or stay out in the courtyard talking. We went inside but they were just watching "Cutting Edge," some stupid hockey-skating movie. We heard they were watching "The Grinch" (with Jim Carrey) in the weight room, so we shuffled our sleeping bags and pillows and chips and donuts all down the school and set up there to watch it.

I've already seen the movie, so Dayna and I each laid out beside each other and listening to music on our Discman's. All of us fell asleep (well, dozed) until we all got up and went to bed.

Jen and Dayna went to bed kinda immediately, and it was like midnight at this point. Tanya and I were wired and we weren't allowed in the cafeteria unless it was an emergency so we played Go Fish on a round bench table, when everyone else was playing football in the courtyard. There was nothing to do and nowhere to go, so we took pictures and finally went to bed. We couldn't fall asleep so we bothered Dayna and Jen until they woke up, got cranky then fell asleep again. By this point, Tanya and I finally drifted off to the sound of guys riding barrels down the courtyard pit steps.

6 a.m. Our box was the first to "wake up" because our roof (two tarps) collapsed on us because of the wind and rain was dripping in. We gathered everything up and went inside to the cafeteria. Only two teachers were up. Box by box, people started pouring in because they were drenched or other miscellanous tragedies. Girls showered, boys talked. I wasn't going to shower because I was going home today anyway at 7:30. We all drank hot chocolate and then my Mom came to pick me up :) I slept right away until 1 p.m. when she woke me up for a hair appointment.

And tomorrow (a Civies day AND a half day! :D), right after school, we're going to Kingston! Score!

Neglecting my blog. Um, I've seen the funniest movie ever. Yay John. :D Very big inside joke. Well anyway, I'll blog later when I have the time. First bus cancellation of the school year - yeehaw. Why? Fog. Haha, we're gonna have so many snow days then. Whee. This sucks dick: we have NO SNOW. It's December 5 and no snow. I am going to cry. I really want to jump off Aimée's roof into a three foot bank of snow this year.
