*   *    LAURIE! *     *
I'm Laurie. I have hair that makes Richard Simmon's hair looks good. I like giraffes and monkeys. I especially like monkeys. When I was born, my dad said I was either a boy or the ugliest girl alive. It's things like that that makes my self-esteem so high these days. I like a mixture of music from Tool to Weezer to Billie Holiday to Flock of Seagulls. I have an extreme love for the 80s that will never cease. I think I've seen The Breakfast Club about thirty eight times, even though I only like parts of it. Emilio Estevez is my boyfriend. I have a lawn gnome named Clyde. He's dear to my heart. Bruce Willis sings stalker songs to me at night. I watch TV a lot. I love movies to death. I hate the feeling, sound, word, thought of fleece. My nanny gave me a fleece sweater awhile ago. I like the smell of gasoline, freshly cut grass and chlorine. I like when my skin smells after I get out of the pool. I tend to bite my nails too much so my nails are gross and short and creepy. I can't stand having bumps in my hair. I have to have music. I cry during scenes like the ending of Revenge of the Nerds. Unpixelated Sims is funny, and kind of creepy. Laughing at drunk people makes for good times. Claire is my sex monkey. You just wish you were, too. I'm not on crack, although you'd think I was.

Soundtrack: Breach of Trust - "Who Am I"
Uniform: Blue pajama pants and an Old Navy tank top

Last night was amazingly fun. :) The only thing wrong that happened? I have a blister on each big toe from those stupid tight heels.

Okay, I got on Chantale's bus and we kidded around with Adam and Marc until we got off at her stop then walked home. We watched "Angry Beavers," "Passions," and "The Simpsons." Danielle came over and we went on the Internet for half an hour. Danielle left so we headed over to The Square (pizza place) and ate a slice. Went back home and started getting ready. Jen and Nancy came home from setting up, and tried on dresses. We all got on our "gowns" and makeup and hair after a good two hours of trying.

Jen and Nancy left early to get ready for the crowds so Chantale and I were left alone with the mirrors. Fiddled with our hair, applied last minute makeup and then called the taxi. The taxi lady was 15 minutes late and decided to tell us all about her daughter, who was in the Life Skills (nice word for the retards) class and na na na. I wasn't really listening since the lady was so incomprehendible. We arrived there and it was snowing :D!! It was our first snowfall so I was extremely happy :)

Nobody recognized me, and they all said my dress and hair were amazing so I felt yay-yay. Took pictures, danced, took breaks to get drinks and cool off. Halfway through the dance, I found Ashley and we started dancing for a good 45 minutes with her friends. Then we sat out on the benches for five minutes, cooling off again. People took pictures of us together since she was wearing a black fedora, a suit with a long black trench coat and fake eyelashes. ;) She looked awesome and I looked princessy and we looked like a couple. It was quite right. Pat kept coming up to me and knuckling my arm or dancing when I was dancing with Ashley. He was drunk then seemed half-drunk after a little bit. Funny. Then we tried to get Richard to show his cat tongue :D

Finally sat out for awhile with a bunch of people after dancing for a long time. and then at 11 (when the dance ended), we grabbed our bags and coats and waited for drives. I had to tramp through a foot of snow with bare feet (the heels weren't that high) and a long billowy dress and the wind was crazy. It was snowing and the parking lot was full of parents waiting for their kids. Chantale and I finally found my dad and waited with Mary and Richard outside until my dad got back from looking at Scott's curb-dent.

Drove Nancy and Chantale home. Got me Fruitopia at poor Baker's Dozen on the way back to the school. Since Scott had to drive his bent car home, Dad took the Saturn and Scott drove our car. Anyway, got home and fell fast asleep. Woke up several times at 9 a.m., 1 p.,. then finally at 2:15 p.m. Called Aimée, ate lunch then came online after showing Dad my blisters as if he was really interested. And now I'm getting off, after I say goodbye to Curtis, to have a nice long shower. Ahh. Sweet bliss. I WANT A SNOW DAY!!! Or just more snow. :D Mom and I are getting our real Christmas tree tomorrow -- such procrastinators, eh?

Soundtrack: Swollen Members - "Fuel Injected"

I really, really need to shave my legs. I just watched the movie "It." Kinda scary but overall good. Anyway, the semi-formal is tomorrow night. I'm so pumped -- it'll be real pretty. I'm borrowing Cindy's dress. It's long, silvery white with lots of sparkly glitter, and a small train. It's breathtakingly beautiful. I had to wear it for some English presentation last year and I loved it. Chantale and her sisters are doing my hair and makeup and we have to find some silver heels. Chantale and I, a pre-semi preparation, have to catch her bus to her house, get ready then most likely hail a cab to the school.

Well, anyway, I'll blog on Saturday. Since I'll be dead tired once I get home tomorrow. Kirk and them are having a party down my road and he told me they'll come and say hi. Blah. :P And Pat told me last night that I have to say hi to him at the dance because he'll be so "drunknatized" ;) Nobody's gets drunk at semi-formals except him and other retards. But anyway. I'm going to go clean up my mess in the living room, have a bath then start on my math. Test tomorrow. Woo.

Listening to: Petey Pablo - "North Carolina"
Eating: Heinz spaghetti in a can :D

I'm not so lazy after all :P My mom'll be home soon and since the house was looking quite shabby, I went into super-maid mode and started cleaning everything up. Felt neat. Anyway, the tech test was relatively hard. I skipped some questions I honestly couldn't answer. I know I passed though. Then in math class, Chantale, Marc, Karie and I worked on the Internet and goofed off all period. I met up with Ashley for fourth and we doodled and whispered all period long since there were just presentations. Blah.

[If I were an online test, I would be The Internet-Addict Test]

I'm The Internet-Addict Test!

I love in-jokes, especially if they help highlight the marvellously geeky cultural differences between my internet clique and the rest of the world.
