I'm Laurie. I have hair that makes Richard Simmon's hair looks good. I like giraffes and monkeys. I especially like monkeys. When I was born, my dad said I was either a boy or the ugliest girl alive. It's things like that that makes my self-esteem so high these days. I like a mixture of music from Tool to Weezer to Billie Holiday to Flock of Seagulls. I have an extreme love for the 80s that will never cease. I think I've seen The Breakfast Club about thirty eight times, even though I only like parts of it. Emilio Estevez is my boyfriend. I have a lawn gnome named Clyde. He's dear to my heart. Bruce Willis sings stalker songs to me at night. I watch TV a lot. I love movies to death. I hate the feeling, sound, word, thought of fleece. My nanny gave me a fleece sweater awhile ago. I like the smell of gasoline, freshly cut grass and chlorine. I like when my skin smells after I get out of the pool. I tend to bite my nails too much so my nails are gross and short and creepy. I can't stand having bumps in my hair. I have to have music. I cry during scenes like the ending of Revenge of the Nerds. Unpixelated Sims is funny, and kind of creepy. Laughing at drunk people makes for good times. Claire is my sex monkey. You just wish you were, too. I'm not on crack, although you'd think I was.

I had this friend, Demita. We were riding our bikes once, and a bird pooped on her eye. She was quite humiliated so I promised not to tell anyone about it. A couple hours later, I was with all these big kids and Demita too, around their trampoline. I was doing fine being all cool-girl, when I put my hand in bird poop on the rail of the trampoline. I got really embarassed, and who was laughing the hardest? Demita. So I ran home, crying (across the street) while screaming "A BIRD POOPED ON YOUR FACE!!"

Went Goodwill shopping with Boolia today. From 1:30 to 4:30 :D We did NOT move from that store, once. My findings? A bright yellow wooly old-man cardigan, three records, a Michael Jackson cassette tape, a mint green and white striped polo shirt, a white and orangey-melony shirt, a knit pink winter hat that sticks STRAIGHT up in this spiraly knit thing at the top with drawstrings (hard to explain), purple velvet platform-y shoes with paisley inserts :D, some old-man golfer plaid pants which consist of the colours red, blue, cream and black (they're amazing!) and these zoo pants. The zoo pants are among my favourites of my treasures, because they're almost like capris (or just poor people pants) with zoo animals on them with monkeys and elephants and giraffes. :D I love Goodwill a lot. My mom started dragging me there a couple years ago, and I was so adamant about not buying a thing. Now I find the kookiest clothes that no one would ever have nowadays ;D My old man golfer pants are my favourite.
And actually, when we were there, these two hot guys came in and started looking at the shirts and stuff. Oh, yeah. My records :D! "Men at Work" "The Carpenters" "Barry Manilow" (oh you know it!) and Julia bought some other ones. I got my new glasses yesterday. People seem to react positively even enthusiastically to them, and I really love them. Yay...Rae will upload them for me. Dad needs on though :P Later, you'll see results of boredom and the results of having a scanner FINALLY hooked up.

I am listening to the Saved by the Bell theme song. I haven't heard it since, like, Wednesday and I miss it :-( I watch that show EVERY morning. It's the best ever. Zack and the Gang. Samuel "Screech" Powers, Lisa Turtle, Albert Clifford "A.C." Slater (what a hunk :D), Kelly Kapowski, Jessie Spano and Mr. Belding. Oh sigh. Zack Attack!

Josslyn bought me the original Grease record!!# 24;p2h! Alls I need now is a record player which she claims I can buy for fifteen bucks at Goodwill. Will do! Next weekend, her, Julia and I are going vintage-shopping.
I'm off on a basement journey to find that box filled with my parent's old records. Wheee.
